An Easter Story

Marsha’s favourite time of the year is spring and her favourite holiday is Easter. Marsha loves to paint eggs for Easter. She usually paints the eggs different colors like red, green, blue, pink and purple. She doesn't like yellow or orange so she never paints her Easter eggs, yellow or orange.

Marsha also likes putting the eggs in the garden so her sister, Tina, can find them. After Tina finds the eggs, the sisters eat the special chocolate bunnies that the Easter Bunny leaves for them each year. Tina always gets a white chocolate rabbit because she is allergic to chocolate. Marsha thinks white chocolate is delicious and believes her sister is very lucky.

HOLIDAYS ABROAD

          Hi Ann,

How are you? I’m spending a couple of weeks in Florida with some friends. This is fantastic! The weather is sunny and we go surfing every day. I’m taking hundreds of photos!

 Gina, Paul and Kenneth are having breakfast right now but I’m on the beach preparing my board to go surfing. Today the waves are amazing and the wind is blowing strongly! Right now I’m sending you a photo of me surfing.

 Tomorrow we are hiring a van to visit other beaches near our hotel. Next Monday we are flying back. See you soon!

FAMILY AND FRIENDS – MY UNCLE

My Uncle Chris is the best uncle I have ever had.

He is tall, has dark hair and brown eyes. He isn't plum or thin, he is just right. He has
a dark complexion and gets suntanned easily. Uncle Chris is a gardener, a car-mechanic, an electrician and an animal-lover all in one.

He is unemployed but does a lot of odd jobs for people, who  helps him a lot. He's got
a great sense of humor. He's got lots of ideas, too. He's always very positive about things, never gets angry. I have never seen him shout or raise his voice at anyone.  And he’s very friendly. I think that's why so many people like him and he's very popular among his family, friends and neighbours.

He usually wears dark jeans and flannel shirts but when it’s cold he puts on his warm winter jacket and his funny red woolly hat.  When he goes fishing he puts on his wellington boots and overalls and his baseball cap (he looks funny because it says "Fishing king). When there is
a celebration in the family, a wedding or a birthday, Uncle Chris always dresses in a funny way, he does. Once, when he went to his nephew's wedding he was wearing a suit, which was all right but he forgot about it and went to feed the pigeons before coming to the wedding. Imagine what the suit looked like.

Uncle Chris loves animals, can spend hours talking to them, caring  about them and doing all sorts of jobs that one does when looking after animals. He keeps pigeons, fish, rabbits, a ferret and a dog. He is a great animal expert, know a lot about animals and always helps people when their pets are ill.

Uncle Christ will be 57 tomorrow! Happy  birthday Uncle Chris.

SCHOOL– MY SCHOOL TIMETABLE

Monday

I start school at 8:00 a. m. and finish at 1:30 p. m. I've got twice English, Maths, Geography, History and Physics. There are extra PE classes: football and basketball but I haven't decided yet. They start at 2 p.m. and finish at 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday

Tuesday is really long. Lessons start at 8:55 a.m. and go on till 3:20 p.m. I've got Art, English, Maths, Spanish, double PE and Chemistry. There is the Art Club in the evening but Mum always says : “Don't do too much. Have an evening to yourself." I think she is right.

Wednesday

Lessons start at 8:00 again, just like Monday. I finish school at 12:35 p.m. - the earliest in the week. I have Music, Biology, Maths, English and Physics. In the evening I have my Film Club.

It starts at 4:00 p.m. and we usually watch a film and finish at 5:30 p.m. I'm back at home at about 6:00 p.m. Usually I'm dead tired!

Thursday

Thursday is OK because I start school at 8:45 a.m. and finish at 1 :30 p.m. I've got double Computer Science, RE, English and History and no extra activities! I do most of my homework and housework on Thursday. From time to time me, my mum and my dad make a short visit to say “hello” to my grandpa. Sometimes when Dad comes home early we all go somewhere – to the zoo, to the park or we go shopping.

Friday

At the and of my week at school, on Friday, I start school at 8:00 a.m. and finish at1:30 p.m. I have English, Maths, twice P.E., Geography and Spanish. The computer club people meet up at 2 p.m. for around and an hour and I’m back at home at 2:30 p.m. My best friend Tim, often comes for an hour or two and we play together and plan our week ahead.
